At Sony, we are striving to make recycling your electronics as easy as it is to purchase them. We've built a recycling program that makes it easy to dispose of electronics in an environmentally-safe way. With the Sony Take Back Recycling Program, we offer locations nationwide where unwanted products can be dropped off and recycled for free.
Locate a drop box for free recycling of medium size products of any brand at retail locations
Locate a drop off center for free recycling of any size Sony products
We support the recycling of our products with the same respect we have when creating them. Sony Electronics was the first to sign the Basel Action Network's Manufacturers' Commitment to Responsible E-Waste Recycling. Per this agreement, Sony will continue to conduct electronics recycling programs transparently and in accord with rigorous environmental and worker safety standards. Additionally, we will adhere to measures to prevent the export of hazardous e-waste to developing countries.
Sony is also a proud PLUG-IN to eCYCLING partner with US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). All Plug-In partners have committed to work with recyclers who meet or exceed the EPA’s voluntary guidelines for safe electronics recycling. To learn more about the guidelines used for managing end-of-life electronics please see the Guidelines for Materials Management (PDF).

We know you are interested in saving energy and reducing CO2 emissions and every day we are making it easier for you to conserve energy at home. When it is time to replace older products, choosing eco friendly and energy efficient models greatly reduces CO2 emissions and can save you money on your energy bill.
